White Chicks

8.5/10 stinky bananas

Imagine if this movie got made today. I'm actually not sure which side of the aisle would be more mad about the movie, but people would be burning down movie theatres in protest.

White Chicks is a fucking great comedy. Stroke of genius by the Wayans brothers. Every scene with the "undercover" white chicks is laugh out loud funny. The fact that they look absolutely nothing like the girls that they are impersonating makes it that much better. Like... they look preposterous. And their friends can't tell the difference? Hilarious.

The dance off scene is an all-timer. Who doesn't have multiple choregraphed dance routines with their friends just in case a dance off ensues? I certainly do. You gotta be prepared for any kind of fight.

Best Terry Crews role? I think so. So fucking funny for every second of the 5 total minutes he's on screen.

The only thing that knocks this movie down 1.5 stinky bananas are the serious moments. For some reason, in the middle of a movie about two cops dressing as white chicks, they think we care about their characters and their relationships. Nobody cares. Cut that shit out and you have a near perfect comedy.

If you haven't seen White Chicks, you should re-evaluate your priorities in life. If you have seen it, like the good upstanding citizen that you are, give it a re-watch because it holds up. See ya.
