The Wolf of Wall Street

Fantastic movie. This movie has reached a point where people have started to turn on it. I'm here to say the haters are wrong, The Wolf of Wall Street is a great movie.

I have not seen Dallas Buyers Club, but Leo not winning an Oscar for his role as Jordan Belfort is a crime against humanity. It also proves that the Oscars is a dog and pony show, and not a real measurement of industry success. This performance is far and away Leo's best; way better than when he won an Oscar for getting eaten by a bear.

This movie is rich with great characters. Jonah Hill, Jon Bernthal, Rob Reiner, Matthew McConaughey, and Margot Robbie are all excellent in this. Scene stealers.

The script is amazing, so well-written. The first two-thirds of the movie is an absolute thrill ride, but then the third act does a good job of bringing everything back down to earth after the lunacy that is Jordan Belfort's life.

The lemon drug scene is fucking unbelievable. It's up there for one of my favourite scenes in movie history. So fucking funny. That scene alone should have won Leo the Oscar.

If I had one complaint, it would be that the movie hits a bit of a lull with the Swiss bank money stuff. I wouldn't have been upset if that was left on the cutting room floor.

Now, that all of the women have stopped reading. Holy smokes, there are a lot of naked ladies in this film. I tacked on some extra stinky bananas for that alone. And Margot Robbie... two thumbs up. See ya.
