9.4/10 stinky bananas

Excellent movie. It's a musical with a Nazi subplot. What a combo.

The music is fantastic. Every song hits. Even the song with the puppets is a banger.

Christopher Plummer is a handsome devil. No doubt about it. He just happens to be a fantastic actor as well. The scene where he joins the kids in song for the first time is great, you can see his cold militaristic heart melt away in real time. Rest in peace, Mr. Plummer. Canadian legend.

The concert performance at the end is an incredible scene. The Von Trapp family handing the Nazis a big 'fuck you' in the most beautiful way possible.

If you haven't seen The Sound of Music yet, you're doing something wrong. So long, farewell. Auf Wiederseh'n, goodbye.
