7.7/10 stinky bananas
Pretty pretty pretty good. It's not a Scorsese classic, but it's still quite good.
I'm going to tell you everything I hate about it first. No.1 - This movie feels like it's 5 hours long. It drags at points, mostly in the first two acts. No.2 - Scorsese makes Molly and the Osage Nation as a whole seem dumb as hell. It is very apparent from beginning to end that Robert De Niro's character is behind all the murders, yet Molly and the Osage Nation can't connect any dots on their own. Weird directing decision, in my opinion. No.3 - The worst acting performance in any movie ever belongs to Brendan Fraser in Killers of the Flower Moon. He is on screen for three minutes and he is horrific for all three minutes. I love Brendan Fraser, but he sticks out like a sore thumb in this one.
Now that that's out of the way, let's get into the good stuff. No.1 - Robert De Niro knocks it out of the park. He's unreal in this. Near perfect performance. No.2 - The third act is excellent, it's thrilling and ties everything together nicely. No.3 - They may have stretched the story too thin, but it's a crazy story that'll keep you engaged.
If you don't like long movies, I would just wait for this one to come out on streaming and just break it up into parts. How's that for a tip? I bet you would've never thought of that on your own.
End of review.
