Great movie. Jim Carrey and The Grinch are a match made in heaven. Fantastic performance. How did Jim Carrey not win an Oscar for this? The Oscars fucking stink, that's why.

As far as live-action adaptations go, How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) is top tier. So many live-action adaptations fall flat on their face because of dogshit CGI or lack of originality. This movie has no such problems. The sets and makeup are excellent. It really takes the movie to the next level. Here's my indisputable rankings of the best live-action adaptations ever made:
