Hocus Pocus 2

Underwhelming sequel.

There are a few positives... Midler slipped right back into the role seamlessly. The witch twist on some old bangers is fun. The zombie is still the best character. The movie is still good for a few laughs.

Everything else in this movie irritates me. Way too much backstory for these school kids. Nobody cares. These kids have witch powers? That's dumb. Horrific ending. The witches died in the lamest way possible. BOOOO!

In the end, this movie took itself way too seriously. Hocus Pocus is supposed to be a fun family movie. Instead, we got Bette Midler accidentally killing her sisters and then committing suicide (more or less). What the hell is that all about?

Hocus Pocus 2 leaves a lot to be desired. Sad!
