Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning is good old fashioned Mission Impossible fun.

Tom Cruise is the fucking best. The guy is literally putting his life on the line to make these movies. What a legend. People are saying this is the last Mission Impossible movie. I don't believe that for a second. You're not going to stop Tom Cruise from hanging off planes or jumping off of cliffs so you may as well film it.

The movie is super intense from start to finish. The stakes are astronomical. The nuclear threat feels more real in this one than in any of the previous installments. Surprisingly, they made "The Entity" work as a villain. It was a big concern of mine going in considering I was unimpressed with "The Entity" in the previous movie, but they cleaned it up well. I love the Mission: Impossible 3 connection. Rabbit's Foot!

This Mission: Impossible is not as action packed as the Mission: Impossible movies typically are, but the action scenes we did get are fucking nuts. The submarine scene gave me heart palpitations. I will say you have to take a leap of faith to believe he survived that. I'm pretty sure he was 500ft deep and he somehow got back to the surface without his fancy suit. I thought the deep sea worked like outer space where if you take your helmet off you just explode. Am I a moron? Anyway, the plane scene is fucking incredible. I don't know how Tom Cruise does it. He's a fucking maniac.

I have 1 critique for the film. Ethan Hunt's team by the end of the movie is quite the rag tag group of individuals. I felt no real connection to any of them except Benji. I think the intense team moments suffered a TINY bit because I didn't really care if any of them bit the dust.

Anyway, I wanted to end my review by thanking Tom Cruise for making these awesome movies. He's always thanking us for going to the movies, but enough is enough. I speak on behalf of the movie watching population when I say, THANK YOU TOM, YOU CRAZY BASTARD. This is a worthless thank you, after all, Tom will never read this in a gazillion years.
