8.0/10 stinky bananas

Delightful movie. It goes down smooth so to speak. I could watch it again tomorrow.

Christian Bale definitely met my lofty expectations with his performance. He is a top-tier Marvel villain. My only complaint is that I wish there were more of him.

The movie is quite funny as I've come to expect with Taika Waititi projects. Ever since Thor: Ragnorok, Chris Hemsworth's Thor has been the best Avenger and it's not particularly close. Taika really brought the best out of him and the character. Bravo.

The black and white fight scene on that moon/planet is unreal. Easily the best part of the movie.

The Olympus scene is really good too. Russell Crowe stole the scene. Very funny Zeus.

The soundtrack is fucking great. Guns N Roses and ABBA. Taika, you sir, have fantastic taste in music.

I have two problems with Thor 4:

  1. Natalie Portman felt so out of place in this movie. She was acting weird. I don't really know how else to describe it. Just weird.

  2. The final action sequence is lackluster. It paled in comparison to Thor: Ragnorok's grand finale.

Overall, it's a bit of a disappointment if you compare it to Thor 3. Having said that, it's still a very good movie in its own right.

That's it. Short and sweet, just like the movie. Bye.
