Spider-Man 2

Spider-Man 2 is criminally overrated. Don’t forget that I only speak the truth. Therefore, I am correct and it‘s not up for discussion.

I remember this being a great movie, but I recently rewatched it and boy was I disappointed. This movie gets saved by Doc Ock. Alfred Molina is great and Doc Ock is an extremely cool character. No doubt about it. Every other non Dock Ock part of the movie is so boring. The MJ and Tobey love story subplot stinks out loud. Booooooo!

The movie has three really good scenes. The surgery room scene where the arms kill all the doctors and nurses. Very cool! The bank heist fight scene with spidey. Fun! And the train scene. Iconic! Everything else is sucky forgettable garbage.

I cannot, for the life of me, understand why people hold this movie in such high regard. It is fine at best. Certainly not one of the best comic book movies ever.

Spider-Man 2 is only worth watching for the greatness that is Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus.
