Rocky 2

Damn good movie, Rock.

I have 2 problems with this movie. Let me get them out of the way.

First, WAY TOO MUCH OF ADRIAN. I hate her guts. Can't stand her. Terrible actress, even worse character. I would've loved if her character died in this movie. It would've given me sweet sweet satisfaction.

Second, Rocky even thinking about retiring is completely ludicrous. Rocky has fought his entire career for pennies, now he actually has a chance to make some real money from boxing and he wants to retire. What the fuck is he thinking? He's lucky to be in this situation to begin with. He only got picked to fight Apollo in the first place because he's Italian and has a good name. Now, because of his ego, Apollo is giving him a SECOND CHANCE at the HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP and he has the gall to refuse. Jesus Christ, CTE is real.

Anyway, Mick is still the best. I love that character.

Apollo's cornerman is a great tertiary character. Every time he's on screen he's either sweating profusely, screaming his head off, saying something profound, or doing all three simultaneously. What a beast.

Another excellent montage. They got the formula down pat.

The actual fight itself is way better than the first one. It's so fucking good. It literally brought me to tears. Rocky and Apollo both falling at the end and Rock getting up first is perfection. I'm fired up just thinking about it.

Anyway, Rocky is well on its way to establishing itself as a premier movie franchise. Back-to-back great Rocky films. See ya.
