9.3/10 stinky bananas

Excellent movie. The assassination of Fred Hampton is a fucked up story that has as much relevance today as it did back then. The director, Shaka King, did an incredible job of storytelling in this movie. And if you don't know the names Daniel Kaluuya and LaKeith Stanfield, you better get acquainted because these guys are bonafide superstars.

I'm not going to talk too much about the details of the plot because that is better left in the hands of the filmmakers and actors who made this movie. I will say this; Judas and the Black Messiah and other movies like it are important for people to watch for a number of reasons. 1. They serve as an educational tool for people that are not informed on the issues plaguing many marginalized groups in North America and elsewhere. 2. They are damn good movies.

This movie is 100 percent worth the price of admission ($25). I highly recommend it.
