9.5/10 stinky bananas


Best Harry Potter movie and I don’t think it’s very close.


The movie starts you off strong with the balloon lady. Then you get the comical night bus scene. What follows is nothing short of fantastic filmmaking and storytelling. Dementors. Werewolf. Time travel. Pidgeon Horse. Gary Oldman. Rat guy. Are you not entertained?


Time travel can make movies a bit tricky to follow, but Alfonso Cuarón (director) does it flawlessly. If you are fortunate enough to not have had the ending spoiled by the book then the twist at the end is pretty damn good.


Hermione is a far superior wizard than Harry. Harry would be dead in a ditch somewhere without her.
