Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

9.3/10 stinky bananas

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is a fantastic way to cap off one of Marvel's greatest trilogies. It's easily the best Marvel movie since Infinity War and Endgame.

There's lots to love about the third installment of the Guardians franchise:

• Great pace. They go from one thing to the next without skipping a beat. I liked how they spliced in the Rocket flashbacks.

• The soundtrack did not disappoint

• Highly emotional movie. I cried 4 different times. Some would say that's too many times to cry about CGI raccoons. Those that would say that can kindly go fuck themselves.

• I know the comic book hardos are mad about Adam Warlock, but he's funny and I like him. Comic book hardos can also kindly go fuck themselves.

• James Gunn did an excellent job of wrapping up each character's story arc

• The hallway scene with the Beastie Boys playing in the background is top-tier Marvel content

• Nebula's new arm rules

• I'm so glad the arrow is back. It's my favourite weapon in the Marvel universe.

• Great villain. Strong performance by Chukwudi Iwuji.

I do have a couple of nitpicks:

• Counter-Earth is a stupid place. A guy that calls himself the High Evolutionary just created normal Earth but with animals as humans. Makes no sense.

• OrgoCorp is weird too.
