9.5/10 stinky bananas

Expertly made. Action thriller at its finest.

The cinematography, the acting, the story - all outstanding.

Gosling is awesome, as per usual. He delivers a great performance while barely speaking. Very impressive.

After Oscar Isaac's death, the movie goes from 0 to 60 real fast. It's just kill after kill after kill.

Gosling has never looked cooler. I can't really pinpoint what it is either. Is it the jacket? Is it the gloves? Is it his general demeanor? I don't know for sure, but I do know that he pulls it off.

Anyway, when it's all set and done, Drive will be in Ryan Gosling's top 10 movies of all time. Now, that doesn't seem like a hot take at the moment, but if you really think about it, it is a hot take. He's already been in several great movies (e.g., La La Land, Crazy, Stupid, Love, The Nice Guys, Remember the Titans, etc.), and he's only 45 years old and in the prime of his career. The bangers are going to keep coming for Ryan, and I think Drive is good enough to retain top-10 status. FIGHT ME. See ya.
